IMS E&B 58mm Filter Basket

The IMS E&B 58mm Precision Filter Basket is designed for baristas and coffee enthusiasts who want higher extraction consistency, cleaner flavour separation, and improved shot clarity. Developed under the E&B Lab project by IMS Italy, this basket combines precision engineering with a larger extraction area to enhance espresso performance, especially for medium to light roasted coffees.

The flat-bottom geometry and ultra-precise perforation pattern help create a more even extraction across the coffee puck, reducing channeling while improving sweetness, clarity, and balance in the cup. Compared to standard baskets, the E&B basket features a significantly larger perforated area with 715 precision holes, allowing finer grinding capability and more uniform water flow. 

For the Nano Quartz coated version, IMS applies a quartz nanotechnology coating that creates a smoother, more non-stick surface. This improves puck release, reduces coffee oil buildup, enhances cleanliness, and improves water flow consistency during extraction. The coating also makes daily maintenance easier while helping maintain stable extraction characteristics over time.
