This year, 2020, a year that will deeply imprint in our memory.
The wide spread of the Coronavirus has impacted and changed the way we live.
It has also certainly changed the way we get our daily shots of caffeine from the most famous beverage in the world, coffee.
Before COVID-19 struck us, we frequent cafes, coffee shops and international coffee chains. We don't mind paying for our coffee as long as it taste all right.
In the midst of lock down, when all these cafes, coffee shops and international coffee chains closed temporarily, we shifted to making coffee ourselves at home.
It is a bit wierd for our coffee company. We started planning to start an online coffee business in September 2019 before the virus swamed us. Our goal is to just focus on operating an online business in ecommerce and not to open a physical shop as our interest is not to open another cafe, but to bring the cafe home.
We officially registered our company in December 2019 and before that, our company has been operating as a individual seller of coffee machines and accessories on platform such as Carousell, Lazada, Shoppe and ETSY.
This is mainly to test the market response for the higher end coffee machines for home usage. The responses are very encouraging. We notice that Singaporeans are looking beyond a simple press of button to get their daily shots of caffeine to a more sophiscated and semi automatic kind of espresso machines. We know we are in the right business.
Before 2020 end in less than 3 weeks time, we are proud to announce that we have managed to work with another espresso tool company in the United States of America. This is the fourth brand that we have managed to work with after Cafe Martella Roma (for our supply of awesome espresso coffee beans), Breville Singapore (for a consumer to presumer level espresso machines) and Quick Mill Italy (for the prosumer espresso machines and grinders).
We will be releasing more details on the type of quality coffee tools that we can bring to Singapore once we have confirmed the working partnership.
This has been a very eventful year, both for my company as well as the way we live our lives. As the holiday draws in, we would like to wish everyone Merry Christmas and a much better year 2021!
